As part of our quality system, A-Tec Systems Ltd always provide the customer with full and current documentation: -

  • Electrical Schematics (PDF and Paper)
  • Software Listings (PDF and Paper)
  • Installed Equipment Manuals (Paper)
  • CNC Instruction Manuals (PDF)

This forms the machine technical file, which can be vital with in-house fault finding, should it ever be necessary.

From an initial enquiry through to final commissioning, we at A-Tec Systems Ltd pride ourselves on giving the highest levels of response, customer awareness, advice and design services. This, we feel, is what prospective and existing customers need from a systems house.

Shop Floor Communications Software

We have undertaken the integration of shop floor communications between the machine tool and HMI panels which check on the operation of the machine tool and report back to production. We also write software for post processing part programs for one type of control to another.

CNC Breakdown Service

A-Tec Systems undertake breakdown service on many types of machine tools with many types of CNC controls.

PLC Integration

We undertake to design, build and commission PLC (PAC) based automation installations. We have several automatic and semi-automatic transport systems in the field, which move components and raw materials between machines and pre and post processes. In addition we also retrofit safety integrated controllers systems to increase the operator protection levels on machines where there has been a recordable accident or near miss.

Servo Drives

We can retrofit analogue servo drives and motors onto a machine tool whilst retaining the existing CNC control and interface. New A.C. brushless servo drives can bring a new lease of life to a machine tool fitted with failing D.C. servo units. In addition to added reliability, new internal digital servio technology in modern drives makes them more thermally stable.

Not only do aging D.C. spindle drives present a major maintenance and support problem but also may present a significant safety hazard to the operator. Modern designs incorporate tachogenerator loss, programmable current and speed limit systems which can be used to protect the machine loader/operator.
